Migration guide, updated October 3, 2026
Export your Verizon Connect Work data and move it to KaamCam, free
Verizon Connect Work stops on December 31, 2026 and deletes all remaining data on March 31, 2027. Verizon Connect will not send your records to another company, so you have to export them yourself.
This guide shows exactly what to export, how to avoid the common export errors, and how to hand the files to us. We rebuild your customers, price list, job history and photos in KaamCam at no charge.
Step by step: exporting from Verizon Connect Work
- Sign in as an Account Administrator. Client list exports need an Account Administrator login. If the export tool loops back to the dashboard or loads a blank screen, allow pop-ups for fleetmatics.com or try another browser or a private window.
- Export your master data as CSV. Download your Clients, Suppliers and Inventory lists. These become your customers, vendors and price list in KaamCam.
- Request job history in 2-year chunks. Use the Data Export Tool for job history and attachments, no more than 2 years per request and no overlapping ranges. Records older than September 2019 were already removed and will show 0 results.
- Let the exports finish. Exports with photos can take several days to more than a week. A status of Running or Processed means it is queued. Do not cancel and re-request, or you lose your place.
- Download every monthly ZIP. Attachments arrive as separate monthly ZIP files. Each file name contains the Job ID from your job CSV, so keep every ZIP and every CSV together in one folder.
- Send the folder to KaamCam. Start a free KaamCam account, then share the folder with us (a link from Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive is fine). We import it and tell you when your history is in.
Exporting your data takes longer than most people expect
Verizon Connect will not move your records to another provider for you, and Work has no public API. You download your own data with their export tool and hand it to your new provider. Their own help center notes:
- Exports can take several days to more than a week to build, especially with photos attached. Closing the browser does not stop them, but cancelling or re-requesting puts you back in the queue.
- Request job history in chunks of no more than 2 years, with no overlapping date ranges.
- Job records not modified since before September 2019 have already been removed under a 7-year retention policy and cannot be exported.
- Clients, suppliers and inventory export as CSV files (client lists need an Account Administrator). Job history, photos, PDFs and signatures come as ZIP files, packaged by month.
- Attachment file names match the Job ID in the job CSV, which is how photos are matched back to the right customer and job.
What we import, and where it lands
- Clients CSV: your customers, with service addresses, phone numbers, emails and notes.
- Inventory CSV: your price list, ready for estimates, invoices and billing on the stop.
- Suppliers CSV: your vendors, for purchase orders and job costs.
- Job history CSV: past jobs on each customer, with dates, descriptions and status.
- Monthly attachment ZIPs: photos, PDFs and signatures, matched to the right job by Job ID.
Common export problems and fixes
- Blank CSV or "No Data Found": the date range has no completed jobs or is too large. Use smaller ranges, such as 6 months or 1 year.
- Client list export fails: make sure you are an Account Administrator and retry outside business hours.
- Export stuck on Running for days: that is normal for large histories. Leave it; re-requesting resets the queue.
- Nothing before September 2019: those records were already purged by Verizon Connect and cannot be recovered.
What it costs
The migration is free. KaamCam is $19.99 per user per month with every feature included: scheduling and dispatch, the crew phone app, job photos, custom forms, billing on the stop, invoices and estimates, time tracking and QuickBooks sync. No setup fees and no contract.
Frequently asked questions
What files do I need to export from Verizon Connect Work?
The Clients, Suppliers and Inventory CSV files, plus the job history CSV and every monthly ZIP of attachments from the Data Export Tool.
Why is my Verizon Connect Work export blank?
Verizon Connect says a blank or 0-record file usually means the date range has no completed jobs, is too large, or is before September 2019. Try 6-month or 1-year ranges.
How long does the export take?
Verizon Connect notes exports with photos can take several days to more than a week. Do not cancel and resubmit, which resets your place in the queue.
Do my photos stay attached to the right jobs?
Yes. Attachment file names include the Job ID from your job CSV, and we use it to attach each photo, PDF and signature to the matching job.
Is the migration really free?
Yes. There is no migration fee and no setup fee. You pay only the normal $19.99 per user per month once you subscribe.
